In 2007, 12 years after its official opening, the Vietnamese Women’s
Museum (VWM) started the project of reviewing and improving its
permanent exhibition.
The VWM has been reworking its displays and approaches, including not
only historic references, but as well setting a focus on contemporary
aspects of women’s life and gender in different sociocultural settings.
Texts and objects unfold their stories in an appealing new exhibition
design, employing the use of sound, modern lighting techniques and
graphic design, thereby creating a new image of the VWM.
