The visa to Vietnam is obligatory except for citizens of countries having bilateral agreements on visa exemption with Vietnam.

All other citizens are required to get an entry visa before departure or a pre-approved entry visa (tourist or business visa is issued on arrival at Vietnam’s International Airports) supplied before arrival in Vietnam.

1. Types of Vietnam visa

Tourist Visas

- Available 1-month single entry and 1-month multiple entry.

- Maximum stay in Vietnam of one month.

- Tourist visa can be extended after your arrival in Vietnam.

 Business or other types of Visas

- Multiple entry and stay of 3 months or 6 months is possible.

- On applying this visa, the applicant should obtain the approval through their sponsor in Vietnam.

2. How to get a visa to Vietnam

Binhtours offers you two ways of getting Visa to Vietnam:

 2.1. Get your visa stamped at Embassies & General Consulates of Vietnam

2.2. Get your visa stamped upon arrival Vietnam

Please note that “Visa on Arrival” in Vietnam means “VISA STAMPED on arrival”. You must get the Visa Approval duely issued by the Vietnam Immigration Office in advance. Being misunderstood, many tourists had spend at least 1-2 days at the entry gates to arrange the visas.

PROCEDURES:

We receive your order by fax or email. Please provide us below information:

+ Copy of your Passport with a validity of at least 6 months.

+ Date of arrival 

+ Port of arrival (please choose either Noi Bai (Ha noi), Danang or Tan Son Nhat (Saigon-Ho Chi Minh City) or both.

+  Length of stays (one month for tourist Visa).

+ Place to get the Visa (usually, name of the city in your country, where the most convenient Vietnam Embassy or Consulate is located)

 Upon reception of Visa order, we will submit the details to the Immigration Office (the I/O) and wait for the Visa Approval (normally 03-04 working days, not mention the weekend)

For the case of getting Visa at Vietnam Embassies aboard:

If it is approved, the I/O will notify Binhtours in writing that your Visa has been approved and at the same time notify the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in your country by fax. The fax code and a copy of Visa Approval will sent to you by Binhtours by email or fax.

You can contact the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate to obtain your visa (normally one working day). Kindly note that the Visa fee depends on The Embassy and type of visa required.

For  the case of getting Visa on arrival:

We will send you a copy of the Visa Approval  (Click here to view sample) by email or other ways (fax, post). Please print out this document and bring it along with you. This will enable you boarding the flight to Vietnam.

Upon your arrival at the airport of Vietnam, you will see "LANDING VISA" counter before you check out, please proceed to this counter, show the pre-approved letter for checking on the system then wait for your visa stamped on your passport.

Thing to do  :

- Show the immigration officer copy of your Visa Approval

- Fill in the Application Form for enter and exit Vietnam.You may download this form & filling in advance

- Prepare 02 passport size photos (4x6cm) to stick to the Application form.

- Prepare cash for paying stamp fee at the airport (see the price below )

3. Vietnam visa exemption

- Not more than 30 days: for citizens of Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Laos.

 - Not more than 15 days: for citizens of Japan and South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Russian Federation (from 1 Jan 2009).

 - French citizens holding valid diplomatic passports are exempt from visa requirements when visiting Vietnam and are allowed to stay for up 3 months at one time or on several visits within six months since their first immigration dates. Vietnamese citizens holding valid diplomatic passports also enjoy similar privileges.

 - Citizens of Chile and Vietnam holding valid diplomatic or official passports from one of the two countries are exempt from needing entry, exit and transit visas in the other's territory and are allowed to stay for up 60 days on each visit.
